My Morning Routine – My Top 5 Tips for a GREAT Start to Your Day

So, this past week, I decided to do something scary...

Something that was outside of my comfort zone.

I recorded a video for you guys! It's something I've been meaning to try out for some time now, and finally got the courage to do it.

Those of you that follow my IG stories have probably seen some of the content I post regarding my daily habits, what I'm reading, what's going on in my life, and how I'm running my businesses.

Lately, a few people have been asking me about my morning routine.

I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try out this new content type. Eek!

Real talk though - It took me 3 tries of filming to actually get the video right. I was kind of nervous and by the 3rd recording I think I was finally being myself. I got some feedback from family and friends in between recordings. I'm learning a lot about making videos and I'm excited to share content throughout that journey with all of you!

And...without further ado, here are my top 5 tips for a great start to your day. Comment below and let me know your thoughts!

I just started working for myself! Over the past month or so, I’ve been experimenting with the best way to start my day. I’ve been doing the lemon water and cayenne, which has been great. I really like your idea of writing in the morning. I love journaling but I always feel like I don’t have time. The shower tip is one that I whole heartedly agree with but sometimes is hard haha. Thanks for the inspiration!

      Hey Allison,

Congrats on taking the leap to work for yourself 🙂 It’s feels SO great, doesn’t it?

I totally agree on the showering being hard sometimes. The thing I do to counter the “shower right away” if I’m in a rush is to change my clothes and “get ready” immediately after I wake up. Often when I’m working out in the afternoon, I’ll change into my workout clothes / wash my face and then sit down to work. That way, at least I feel somewhat refreshed.

A great resource for building your routine when working for yourself is the book “Manage Your Day-To-Day: Build Your Routine, Find Your Focus & Sharpen Your Creative Mind” by 99U. I think you’ll enjoy it!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hey; have a FABULOUS day!

Awesome. Thanks, Avani! I’m sure I’ll be hitting you up for some more advice as I continue. It’s an adjustment for sure and takes a lot of trial and error to figure out the best method. Have a great day!
